Admiral Sir Barrington Reynolds, K.C.B<b>., expired at an early hour on Saturday morning at Penair, his residence, near Truro. The gallant admiral was the son of Rear-Admiral Robert C. Reynolds, who was lost in the St. George, 98, on returning home from the Baltic in December, 1811, and was born in 1785.

Letters of Administration (with the Will annexed) of the personal estate and effects of Sir Barrington Reynolds late of Penair near Truro in the parish of St. Clements in the county of Cornwall, Knight Admiral of the Blue, deceased, who died 3 August 1861 at Penair aforesaid, were granted 20 September at Bodmin to Dame Eliza Anne Reynolds of St. Clements aforesaid, widow, the relict and universal legatee for life in the said will, she having been first sworn. Effects under £20,000.
Left unadminstered by Dame Eliza Anne Reynolds. Administration granted 13 November 1882 at the Principal Registry to the Reverend Philip Woollcombe of the parish of Creed in the said county, clerk, the nephew and one of the next of kin. Personal estate £19,200. Resworn March 1883 £29,112 8s. 4d. 3
