In 1911 Joseph Lutey, aged 42, born in Carfury Cornwall, farmer, and wife Annie Jane Lutey, aged 34, born in Trythall Cornwall, were living in Trythall Gulval.
In March 1914 Joseph Lutey, farmer, was granted Probate of his late father's personal estate.
In 1921 Joseph Lutey, aged 52 years 10 months, born in Gulval, farmer, and wife Annie Jane Lutey, aged 45 years 11 months, born in Gulval, were living in Trythall New Mill Gulval. With them were daughters (born in Gulval) Annie Vivian (10) and Betty (5y 3m).

The death took place at his residence, No. 3, St. Michael's-terrace, Penzance, on Friday morning, of Mr. Joseph Lutey, at the age of 60. Mr. Lutey, who was a son of the late Mr. Richard Lutey, of Carfury, only retired from farming at Trythall last Michaelmas, when he came to Penzance to reside. He had been in failing health recently.
