In 1851, Prudence Berryman (54) of Phillack and husband William Berryman (48) of Towednack, banker, were living in Carfury, Gulval. Present were daughters (born in Phillack): Prudence (17), at home, Elizabeth (15), Catherine (13).
In 1861, Prudence Berryman (64) of Phillack and husband William Berryman (60) of Towednack, farmer of 50 acres employing 1 man, were living in Carfury, Gulval. Present were servants John Mark Berryman (18) of Gulval, carter, Mary Martin Berryman (20) of Gulval, dairymaid, both unmarried.
