In 1841, Edward Hodge (35), ag. lab, and wife Mary (35), were living in Chyanvounder, Gunwalloe. Present were children: Edward (10), Henry (8), Jacob (3), John (1), Joseph Coulson (55), ag. lab.

In 1851, Edward Hodge (48) of Wendron, ag. lab., and wife Mary (47) of Gunwalloe, were living in Chyanvounder, Gunwalloe. Present were sons (born in Gunwalloe): Jacob (13), out door labourer, and Edward J. (1)

In 1861, Edward Hodge (58) of Gunwalloe [sic], ag. lab., and wife Mary (56) of Gunwalloe, were living in Chyanvounder Village, Gunwalloe. Present were sons (born in Gunwalloe): Jacob (24), carpenter, Edward J. (11), scholar, sister-in-law Ann Thomas (73) of Sithney, unmarried, annuitant

In 1871, Edward Hodge (69) of Wendron, ag. lab., and wife Mary (69) of Gunwalloe, were living in Chyanvounder, Gunwalloe. Present were granddaughters Jane Hodge (14) of Gwennap, scholar, and Laura Hodge (10) of St. Enoder, scholar

In 1881, Edward Hodge (78) of Gunwalloe [sic], farmer, and wife Mary (77) of Gunwalloe, were living in Chyanvounder.

In 1891, Edward Hodge (88) of Wendron, widower, retired farmer, was living in Chyanvounder, Gunwalloe.

Edward Hodge of Prase Crowan died aged 86 years [sic]. Closer to 91 years. Note: No other Edward Hodge is recorded in either the GROE Death Index or Gunwalloe parish register, such that the age given by the informant would appear to be incorrect.

   Marriage Information:

Edward married Mary THOMAS, daughter of Philemon THOMAS and Ann ROWE, on 9 Jun 1829 in Gunwalloe, Cornwall. (Mary THOMAS was born in 1802 in Gunwalloe, Cornwall, christened on 27 Mar 1802 in Gunwalloe, Cornwall and was buried on 20 Jan 1884 in Gunwalloe, Cornwall.)
