In 1861, Jacob Hodge (24) of Gunwalloe, carpenter, was with his parents in Chyanvounder Village, Gunwalloe.

In 1871, Jacob Thos. Hodge (31) of Gunwalloe, house carpenter employing 2 men, and wife Susan (25) of Philleigh, were living in Retew, St. Enoder. Present were children: Mary A. Harris (6) of St. Enoder, Jane (5) of Pool, Susan (3) of Pool, Bessie (1) of St. Enoder, and mother-in-law Mary Harris (71) of Philleigh, widow, formerly farmer's wife.

Jacob Thomas died during the 2nd Quarter aged 45 years [sic] (GROE Death Index, vol. 5b, p. 158).

   Marriage Information:

Jacob married Susan HARRIS, daughter of Richard Remfry HARRIS of Retew and Mary COLLETT, in 1864 in Redruth District, Cornwall. (Susan HARRIS was born in 1845 in Treworthal in Philleigh, Cornwall, christened on 7 Dec 1845 in Philleigh, Cornwall and was buried on 12 Apr 1885 in Veryan, Cornwall.)
