Elizabeth Head was called 'of Tandridge' in co. Surrey at the time of her marriage. Elizabeth Head is named in the Will of William Bysh of Tandridge as the granddaughter of his wife Joane and to whom he bequeathed one guinea. In other words, following the death of her paternal grandfather Richard Head in Apr 1673, Elizabeth's grandmother Joan Head re-married in Nov 1674 to William Byshe of Tandridge who was nominated as one of the executors of the Will of William Head, Elizabeth’s father, in 1696. It would appear therefore that, at the time of her marriage, Elizabeth was with her grandmother Joan Byshe in Tandridge Surrey.

In 1696 William Head bequeathed to his daughter Elizabeth a feather bed and bedstead, a feather bolster, four pair of sheets and a dozen napkins, as well as all the childbed linnen. Elizabeth's birth/christening is not recorded in the parish register for East Grinstead.

In her husband's 1754 Will, Elizabeth was bequeathed an annuity or rent charge of £6 out of his farm and lands. He also gave her their bed and a chest of drawers, the use of the little orchard next to the Common, residence in the house and the use of whatever household goods she wants, a hen and the profit of six sheep.
