Research Notes:

Thomas' daughter Elizabeth married in 1570; daughter Alice in 1583, son Alexander married in 1588 and son Ralph married sometime between them. Estimating that Thomas' children were born in the 1550s, Thomas would most likely have been born in the 1520s. Lambrick Vivian's "Visitations of Cornwall - with additions" shows Thomas as the 3rd son of David Pendarvis of Crowan. However, David's 2nd son, William, was aged 67 years in 1620 (b.c. 1553), so Thomas son of David Pendarves of Crowan was born after 1553 and could not be the same as Thomas Pendarves of Camborne. To date, I've found no other evidence that David Pendarves even had a son Thomas, though it is possible. The original Visitation lists two separate pedigrees: one headed by David Pendarveis of Crowan and Mary Sparnon, and the other headed by Thomas Pendarvis of Camborne. (pp. 163-164). David may have been a brother of Thomas Pendarvis of Camborne, but it is not chronologically possible for him to have been Thomas's father. Thomas's appearance as a son of David Pendarvis of Crowan is probably one of the "additions" made by Lambrick Vivian to the original Visitations.
