Abstract of the Will of Jane Pryce of Gerddibluog in the Parish of Llanfair-juxta-Harlech in the County of Merioneth, Widow and Relict of Robert Griffith late of the same place, Gentleman, written 1 Sep 1775, proved 22 May 1800, probate granted 21 Jul 1800.
Refers to Indentures of Lease and Release dated 1 Jul 1755 and 2 Jul 1755 respectively, the Release being of three parts, consisting of Robert Griffith her late husband and herself of the first part, John Garnons of Rhiwgoch, Gent. and Griffith Garnons of Rhiwgoch, Gent. of the second part, William Vaughan of Corsygedol, Esq. and William Wynne of Maesyneuadd, Esq. of the third part, being a settlement made subsequent to her marriage to the said Robert Griffith, wherein there is a proviso that she the said Jane shall have full power, liberty and authority for the provision and education of her younger children by the said Robert Griffith, by charging all or any part of the messuage, lands and premises called Gerddyblûog being her inheritance to an amount not exceeding £100, which she directs to be paid to her daughter Mary wife of Lewis Richard of Gerddibluog.
Gives and bequeaths to her eldest son Robert Pryce her clock and clockcase at Gerddiblûog and also the oak bedstead in the lodging room called Lloft Iser being the room over the milkhouse.
Gives and bequeaths one shilling each to her sons Robert Pryce and Griffith William and her daughters Catherine the wife of John Jones and Gaynor Griffith, spinster.
Gives and bequeaths £1 to her granddaughter Jane Jones, daughter of the said John Jones by her said daughter Catharine, to be paid to her once she reaches the age of twenty-one years or on the day of her marriage, whichever comes first.
All the rest and residue of her personal estate she gives and bequeaths to her said son-in-law Lewis Richard and Mary his wife, nominating and appointing him the sole Executor of her last will and testament.
