-----------------------------

At Camborne, on Saturday the 19th inst., Capt. John Lean, aged 63 years. He had been an agent in Dolcoath mine for the last 30 years, and was a consistent member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society for about 40 years, 20 of which he officiated with zeal and fidelity as a class-leader. He was of a remarkably kind disposition : his charity began at home, when but a lad, in the support of an aged and widowed mother and other family dependants; but it did not stop here, for through life he was ever ready to relieve the aged, the sick, and the distressed to the utmost of his means, consequently he was generally beloved, and in addition to his family has left a large circle of friends to lament his loss. His end was peace, and he has entered into rest in the full assurance of a happy reward.
