 MRS. L. PRIDEAUX, OF NEW ROAD.
 
 By the death on Tuesday of Mrs. Lydia Prideaux, of New Road, Troon has lost its oldest inhabitant. Mrs. Prideaux, who was 88 years of age, was a native of the village and widow of Mr. John Prideaux, a prominent local preacher and worker in the Wesleyan Church. She has also been associated with the Wesleyan Society practically all her life and was highly respected throughout the district.
 The funeral took place on Friday afternoon." 3
