Obituary
"Killed by a Horse.
Frank, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vivian, aged fifteen years, was killed by his father's horse, one of the pair used on Mr. Vivian's dray, yesterday morning about 10 o'clock. The boy took the horse from the barn with the intention of allowing him to feed on the grass in the neighborhood of the home on East Cleveland avenue, and tied the halter strap around his wrist. The horse, either through fright or playfulness, began to kick and jump, throwing the boy in all directions. The lad was kicked several times about the head and body. Persons living near by and some men working on the sewer in front of Mr. Vivian's house witnessed the terrible sight but were powerless to render any assistance. When released from the strap the boy was almost dead and only lived a short time after he was brought into the house." 3
