ROSEWORTHY'S OLDEST MEMBER
The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Jeffree, aged 85, of Roseworthy, widow of Mr. R. Jeffree, took place on Sunday. The service in the Methodist Church was conducted by the Rev. C. A. Amey. Mr. S. Rowe was the organist. Mrs. Jeffree, who leaves a son, Mr. A. Jeffree, Detroit, U.S.A., and a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Pascoe, was the oldest member of Roseworthy Methodist Church, of which she was formerly a steward. Mr. Amey, in an address, spoke of her many activities in the church. Family mourners were Mrs. E. A. Pascoe (daughter), Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Watters, the Misses R. and J. Thomas and Master F. Thomas (grandchildren), Mr. J. Pascoe (son-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Eva and Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Uren (nephews and nieces), Mr. and Mrs. S. Rowe, Mr. V. H. Jewell, Mrs. B. Jewell, Mr. J. S. Watters, Mr. H. Glasson, Mrs. G. Rowe, Miss M. V. Thomas, also representing Mrs. E. J. Thomas (cousins)—The Wealth of floral tributes included those from members of Roseworthy Methodist Church and Sunday-school.
