William CRASE
- Born: 1791, St. Austell, Cornwall
- Christened: 26 Dec 1791, St. Austell, Cornwall
- Married: 4 Jan 1817, Camborne, Cornwall
- Died: 1862-1865
Another name for William was William CRAZE.
Research Notes:
In 1861, William Crase (68) of St. Austle, head, tin and copper miner, widowed, was living in College Row, Camborne. With him was daughter-in-law* [sic] Maryann Crase and her family.
* In the 1851 Census, William was called father-in-law of Mary Ann's husband, Richard. Since at the time of the 1861 Census, Maryann was shown as "married" (though her husband was absent), one can only presume that William was called father-in-law to the absent head of the family, Richard.
------------------------------
William Craze died during either the 2nd QTR 1862, 3rd QTR 1862 or 3rd QTR 1865.
Marriage Information:
William married Anne BAWDEN, daughter of Christopher BAWDEN Newton Moor and Anne EUDEY, on 4 Jan 1817 in Camborne, Cornwall. (Anne BAWDEN was born in 1794 in Camborne, Cornwall, christened on 3 Aug 1794 in Camborne, Cornwall and died in 1851-1859 in Camborne, Cornwall.)
Marriage Notes:
William Craze and Ann Bawden
Witnesses: Nanny Swaine, Ann Nicholls
Note: William was born in St. Austell and yet he is not shown as a sojourner in the marriage record. Presumably then his family moved from St. Austell to Camborne when he was a child.
