In 1921 William Vivian, aged 41, born in Camborne Cornwall, single, miner, was living in Condurrow Rd., Beacon, Camborne. With him were mother Eliza Vivian (67) of Camborne, home duties, and brother Charles Vivian (31) of Camborne, engineer with Holman's Ltd Engineering Works.
In the 1939 Register William Vivian (b. 2 Feb 1879), retired foreman goldmine mill, and wife Gladys I. Vivian (b. 14 Oct 1889), unpaid domestic duties, were living at 40 Condurrow Rd., Camborne. At the same address was (son) Thomas K Vivian (b. 19 Feb 1927), at school, (brother) Charles Vivian (b. 28 Mar 1890), single, mining machinery examiner, and Paul J. Thomas (b. 24 Mar 1927), at school. Brother Arthur Vivian and his family were nextdoor.

LATE MR. W. VIVIAN
SUDDEN DEATH AT BEACON
Although for many years he had not enjoyed good health, Mr. William Vivian, aged 66, died with tragic suddenness at his residence, 40, Condurrow-road, Beacon, Camborne. A native of the village, Mr. Vivian spent 15 years in India. Since 1919 he had lived in retirement at Beacon, where he was associated with the Methodist Church. A keen sportsman, he took an interest in Beacon Cricket Club. He was a member of the Temple of Honour Lodge, Camborne. He leaves a widow and a son (Mr. T. Keith Vivian), a former student of Truro School, who is at St. John's College, Cambridge.
There was a large and representative attendance at the funeral service, on Friday, at Beacon Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. W. P. Morris, W. K. Lester, and W. T. Harris. The last-named paid a tribute to the life and character of Mr. Vivian and referred to his lifelong association with that church. Mr. H. Bawden was the organist, and the choir was in attendance. Mourners were the widow, Mr. T. K. Vivian (son), Miss M. A. Bawden (aunt), Messrs. T. and A. Vivian (brothers), Mrs. A. Vivian (sister-in-law), Messrs. T. J. Vivian, R. J. Buddle, A. Bassett, J. CAMBORNE.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Camborne Wesley Church, on Thursday, when Miss Gladys Irene Thomas, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Thomas, of Beacon, was married to Mr. William Vivian, eldest son of the late Mr. Thomas Vivian and Mrs. Vivian, of Condurrow-road, Beacon. The Rev. J. P. Martin officiated, and Mr. Charles Vivian, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming gown of grey crepe-de-chene, with picture hat of grey lace and blue silk and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and carnations and asparagus fern. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Gwen Cock, who was attired in a dress of amethyst crepe-de-chene, trimmed with silver beads, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pale pink carnations. Mr. J. Howard Cock, the bride's uncle, presided at the organ. A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride's parents, and later in the day the newly-wedded pair left for Plymouth and Torquay.
