Eliza TERRILL

   Research Notes:

This is probably the same as "Elizabeth" Terrel in the 1860 Census for Shullsburg, Lafayette, Wisconsin, daughter and eldest child of Samuel Terrel (27) and Elizabeth (32), all born in England. There is a younger daughter listed, aged 1, also called Elizabeth, so the eldest should probably be Eliza, either mistranscribed or misentered by the Census taker. See 1880 Census below, at which time a Samuel Tyrell and [wife] Eliza were staying with Eliza and her family.

In 1880, Eliza Edwards (27) of England, married, keeping house [husband absent], was living in Shullsburg, Lafayette, Wisconsin, USA. Present were children (born in WI): Willie (7), Johny (6), Jennie (2), Albert (3). Present also were Sam Tyrell (47) of England and Eliza Tyrell (54) of England [their relationship is not indicated, but they were probably Eliza's parents].

Eliza married Richard Tangye EDWARDS, son of John EDWARDS and Elizabeth TANGYE, on 4 Sep 1872 in Shullsburg, Lafayette, WI, USA. (Richard Tangye EDWARDS was born in Mar 1847 in Camborne, Cornwall and died on 5 Sep 1929 in Shullsburg, Lafayette, WI, USA.)
