In 1751 Sampson Butson was named in the will of his father-in-law Arthur Paul of Camborne, tinner, as husband of Arthur's daughter Elizabeth.
In November 1763 Sampson Butson was present at the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth Butson to Richard Bennetts in Camborne.
In September 1783 Sampson Butson was present at the marriage of his daughter Anne Butson to Thomas Bawden in Redruth Cornwall.
