In 1851 Richard Lanyon, aged 42, born in Camborne Cornwall, M.R.C.S. & L.A.C., and wife F. P., aged 45, born in Illogan Cornwall, were living in Fore Street Camborne.

At Camborne, on Saturday the 12th inst., Mr. Richard Lanyon, surgeon, aged 45 years. As one of the faculty his loss will be greatly deplored by all who knew him ; and as a kind benefactor he will be greatly lamented by the industrious and deserving of all the neighbourhood.

Abstract of the Will of Richard Lanyon of the Parish of Camborne in the County of Cornwall, Surgeon, written 15 Oct 1853, proved 28 Feb 1854. 3
Gives to his wife all his household goods and furniture, plate, linen, china, books, jewels, pictures, wines, spirits, horses, carriages and harnesses, garden tools and other sundry items.
Gives and bequeaths to James Lanyon of Camborne, mine agent, and to Elizabeth his wife, his fifth part of his late father's leasehold property, in trust, to pay the profits for the benefit of their children Ellen and Henry.
All the rest of his real and personal estate he gives and bequeaths to his wife and to his nephew Rodolphus Edward Lanyon, son of his brother Edward Lanyon.
Gives and bequeaths £200 to his nephew and niece Ellen Lanyon and Henry Lanyon, to be paid to them following the death of their mother.
Gives £100 each to Fanny and William Lanyon, children of his brother Edward.
Gives £100 to his godson Frederick Lanyon, son of his sister Mary Ann.
Gives £50 to his brother William Lanyon.
Appoints his wife sole executrix of his last will and testament.
