In 1851 Christopher Hendra (47) of Phillack Cornwall, ironfounder, and wife Elizabeth Hendra (45) of Phillack Cornwall were living at 1 George Street, Ratcliff, St. Dunstans Stepney, Middlesex. With them were children: Edwin (18) of Phillack, iron moulder, Jonathan (17) of Phillack, scholar, and born in Pimlico Middlesex: Christopher (11), scholar, Jemima (8), scholar, Elizabeth (7), scholar, and born in Limehouse Middlesex: Angelena (5), scholar, and Caroline (3), at home.
At the time of the 1861 UK Census Christopher was not with his family in Limehouse Middlesex, such that he may already have left the country. Shipping records have thus far proved elusive.
