In Nov 1740 Thomas King of Gwinear, yeoman, was one of those who paid bond for Administration of the goods and chattels of his father Reginald King of Gwinear. Administration was granted to Thomas's brother, John King of Gwinear, yeoman.

Gives and bequeaths 1 shilling to his son John King.
Gives and bequeaths 1 shilling to his daughter Miriam.
Gives and bequeaths 1 shilling to his daughter Ann.
Gives and bequeaths to his wife Elizabeth all his lands, messuages, goods and tenements, along with his debts, bills, bonds, tin and copper mines, so long as she remains a widow with his children. If she remarries then she will receive 5 shillings and be guardian with her brothers Ralph Nicholl and William Nicholl of his said children.
Appoints his wife Elizabeth sole executrix of his last will and testament.
