In 1891 Harold R T Jewell, aged 14, born in Walworth London, railway clerk, was with his widowed mother at 2 Edmonton Terrace, Edmonton Middlesex.

In 1897 Harold went to British Columbia.

At the time of the 1901 Canadian Census Harold R T Jewell (born 19 Aug 1875*, England), single, porter, was in Burrard, British Columbia.

* Per the GROE birth index, the correct year is 1876 (Harold's parents having married in November 1875).

There appear no records for Harold after 1901, in Canada or elsewhere. At the time of the 1911 England Census Harold's mother stated she had five children of whom two had died. One of these was his sister Margaret who died in 1883 aged 5. The three siblings, Agnes, John and Richard, were all living in 1911. As such it is likely that Harold was dead by 1911.
