In 1901 Garfield Wilkins, aged 14, born in Pontypridd Glamorgan, single, was with his parents at 117 Middle Street Pontypridd.

In 1911 Garfield Wilkins, aged 24, born in Pontypridd Glamorgan, blacksmith's striker, iron works, and wife of 7 months Margaret Ann Wilkins, aged 21, born in Penygraig Glamorgan, were with Margaret's parents John and Dianna John at 190 Henry St., Tony Pandy, Rhondda Glamorgan.

In the 1939 Register Garfield Wilkins (b. 25 Aug 1886), stoker & feedsman, Elec. Gen. Statn., and wife Margaret A Wilkins (b. 10 Nov 1888), unpaid domestic duties, were living at 40 Llanover Road, Pontypridd, Glamorgan. At the same address were [children, single] Emlyn R Wilkins (b. 15 Jan 1916), shop assistant, Trevor Wilkins (b. 8 Nov 1917), capstan lathe hand, and Marjorie D Wilkins (b. 30 Jan 1924), hairdresser's apprentice.

MR GARFIELD WILKINS
PONTYPRIDD

The death occurred at the Graig Hospital on May 30 of Mr Garfield Wilkins, "Myrtle Cottage," Llanover Road, Pontypridd.

Mr. Wilkins was very popular and well known in the locality. Aged 70, he was a veteran of World War One, and had served in France. For many years he worked at the Lewis Merthyr Colliery and was later employed in the Surveyor's Dept. of the P.U.D.C. He retired at 65.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. The funeral took place for Glyntaff Crematorium on Tuesday, the Rev. Harris Hughes officiating.
