Lavinia Hands died aged 85 years.

"HANDS.—On the 10th February, at 15 Grey street, East Melbourne, Lavinia, relict of the late Edward Hands, and loving mother of James (deceased), Lizzie (Mrs. Dalton, W.A.), Amy (Mrs. Lewis), Edward, Sophia (Mrs. Marks), Sarah (Mrs. Alden), David, Minnie (Mrs. Warby), Carrie (Mrs. Jefferys, W.A.), Jessie (Mrs. Marocco), and John, in her 85th year, late of Geelong. (Private interment, February 11.)"
