2 FindAGrave, Memorial. The caption refers to Francis as Francis John Blight, though the gravestone does not include the second given name, noting that he had a son with the given names Francis John. Birth year shown on the gravestone is 1809, which accords with the age Francis provided when he immigrated (31) and the age given when he died (76). However, the Illogan parish register shows Francis as the eldest son, christened nine months after his parents' marriage in February 1806. There is neither record of this Francis having died young, nor of another Francis being born to the same parents. As such it appears that Francis understated his age both formally and informally.
