In 1911 Leonard Smitheram, aged 14, born in Camborne Cornwall, shop assistant, was with his mother Jane Lee and her husband of 10 years Henry Lee, butcher, at 39 College St., Camborne.

According to his widow's funeral notice, Leonard died in a mining accident at Dolcoath Mine in Camborne where he worked as a tin miner. As to when, their daughter Betty was born in 1921 and Olive had a stillborn child in Aug 1922 which made it to the papers in Jan 1923 at which time Olive was a widow.

Leonard married Olive Jane Trevillion, daughter of Adolphus Trevillion and Annie Whear, in 1916 in Redruth District, Cornwall 1. (Olive Jane Trevillion was born on 3 Mar 1896 in Camborne, Cornwall 2 and died in Oct 1976 at Treliske Hospital, Truro, Cornwall 3.)
