In 1881 Ann Hughes (46) of Abererch, unmarried, surgeon's daughter, was living in Penmaen's Castle, Llannor, Carnarvon. With her were sister Elizabeth Owen Hughes (36) and brother Hugh Hunter Hughes (31), both of Denio.

In 1901 Anne Hughes (66) of Abererch, single, living on her own means, was with her brother Thomas Hunter Hughes, medical coroner & farmer, in Penmaen Castle, Denio.

In 1911 Anne Hunter Hughes (77) of Abererch, single, of private means, was living in Gwynfryn, Nevin, Caernarvon.
