In 1911 Thomas Andrew, aged 44, born in Illogan, postman, and wife of 16 years Mary Frances Andrew, aged 35, born in Illogan (mother of 2 children), were living in Carn Brea, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Illogan) Arthur (15), student, and May Blight (11), school.
In 1921 Thomas Andrew, aged 54 years 8 months, born in Pool Cornwall, postman, and wife Mary Frances Andrew, aged 45 years 11 months, born in Lelant Cornwall, home duties, were living in Church Road, Pool. With them were children (born in Pool) Arthur (25y 10m), single, elementary school certificated teacher, and May Blight (22y 1m), single, home duties.

DEATH OF MR. THOMAS ANDREW
The death at his residence, Church-road, Pool, on Monday, of Mr. Thomas Andrew, aged 79, has removed a respected resident, who did much valued public work. A native of Pool, Mr. Andrew was for a great many years on the outdoor staff of Pool Post Office. He was a member of Redruth Rural Council and Board of Guardians and of Illogan Parish Council, and in 1934 he was elected to the newly-formed Camborne-Redruth Urban Council. At the 1936 election he did not seek nomination. Mr. Andrew was one of the oldest managers of Illogan group of provided schools, and he served on Camborne-Redruth District Education Committee until that body ceased to function. He took great interest in the welfare of Illogan parish in general and Poole and district in particular, and during the industrial depression he was a member of Camborne-Redruth and District Unemployment Relief Committeeand of Illogan Sub-Committee. Mr. Andrew was one of the oldest members and senior sidesman of Trevenson Church, with which he had had a lifelong and active association. In addition to a widow, he leaves a son (Mr. Arthur Andrew) and a daughter (Mrs. J. Penberthy, Pool). Mr. Arthur Andrew headmaster of Liskeard Senior School and formerly of Illogan Boys' School, is a former chairman of Camborne-Redruth Council, is organist of Liskeard Parish Church, and a diocesan lay reader.
