In 1871 Jane Michell, aged 56, born in Towednack, widow, farmer of 40 acres, was living in Chypons, Towednack. With her were children (born in Towednack, unmarried) Jane (32), employed on farm, William (26), farmer on the farm, Joseph (21), farmer on the farm, and Mary (18), employed on the farm.
In 1881 Jane Michell, aged 66, born in Towednack, widow, farmer of 30 acres, was living in Chypons, Towednack. With her were children (born in Towednack, unmarried) Jane (41), farm assistant, William (35), farm assistant, and granddaughter Anne Trewhella (13) of Towednack, scholar.
