In 1732 Joseph Pryor was sole executor of the will of his brother Thomas Pryor of Wendron.
Writing his will in 1741 William Pryor of Wendron appointed his brother Joseph Pryor as one of his trustees during the minority of William's son Samuel.
In 1742 Joseph Pryor was named as a beneficiary in the will of his father-in-law John Wood of Wendron, to receive 1 shilling. John also made a bequest to Joseph's daughter Ann.

Gives and bequeaths to his wife Catherine Pryor his leasehold tenement of Trevennin in the parish of Wendron for the term of her natural life, conditional on her paying an annuity of £4 to their son John Pryor for the term of his natural life.
Gives and bequeaths to his sons Richard Pryor and Simon Pryor his leasehold tenement of Trevennin in the parish of Wendron.
Gives and bequeaths 5 shillings to his daughter Ann Pryor now wife of John Pryor of Wendron, along with his dwelling house in Porkellis in Wendron where she now lives.
Gives and bequeaths 5 shillings to his daughter Zenobia now wife of Humphry Harvey of the parish of Crowan.
All the the rest of his lands and tenements, goods and chattels, rights and credits he gives to his wife Catherine Pryor, appointing her sole executrix of his last will and testament.
