In November 1743 Samuel was the residuary legatee of his father's will. A couple of months later Samuel wrote his own will.

Gives to his sister Rosea one shilling.
Gives to his sister Catherine one shilling.
Gives to his sister Frances £5 to be paid to her when she turns twenty-one.
Gives to his sister Mary £5 to be paid to her when she turns twenty-one.
Gives to his sister Jone £5 to be paid to her when she turns twenty-one.
All the rest of his goods and chattels &c. he gives to Henry Penticost, blacksmith, and Frances Pryor his mother-in-law* in trust for his brother John Pryor until he comes of age.
Appoints the said Henry Penticost and Frances Pryor co-executors of his last will and testament.
