In 1881 Henry Clifton, aged 24, born in Camborne Cornwall, G shop tradesman, wife Mary, aged 30, born in Falmouth Cornwall, and son William (1) of Camborne, were with Henry's mother Eliza Symons and her husband Josiah, at 45 Beacon, Camborne.
In 1901 W H Clifton, aged 41, born in Breage* Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Mary, aged 47, born in Camborne*, were living in Troon Row, Breage. With them were children (born in Camborne) Bessy (19), dressmaker, Ernest (15), tin miner, and mother-in-law (i.e. stepmother) Eliza Symons (91) of Camborne, widow.

BREAGE.
We regret to announce the death of Mr. William Henry Clifton who passed away in the 48th year of his age on Wednesday. He spent some years in South Africa, mining, and came home to spend the remainder of his life with his wife and family. He was superintendent of the Troon Wesleyan Sunday school for many years. On Sunday his remains were interred in the new churchyard. The scholars of the Wesleyan Sunday school walked in front of the coffin. The Rev. E. A. Coome, B.C., in the absence of the Rev. E. Coles, Wesleyan minister, read the burial service....
