In 1901 Mary Clifton, aged 47, born in Camborne*, and husband W H Clifton, aged 41, born in Breage* Cornwall, tin miner, were living in Troon Row, Breage. With them were children (born in Camborne) Bessy (19), dressmaker, Ernest (15), tin miner, and William's mother-in-law (i.e. stepmother) Eliza Symons (91) of Camborne, widow.

* These have been reversed.

In 1911 Mary Clifton, aged 57, born in Breage Cornwall, widow, pony trap or hire, was living in Pellor, Breage.
