In 1841 George Treglown, aged about 40, born in the county, linen draper, and wife Jane Treglown, aged about 40, born in the county, were living in Fore Street, Pool, Illogan, Cornwall. With them were children Richard (14), Eldred (10), Jane (8), Charles (6) and George (2).

In 1845 George Treglown became a beneficiary of his father's will, receiving his dwelling house with outhouses and gardens in the village of Pool in the parish of Illogan.

In 1851 George Treglown, aged 53, born in Illogan, shop keeper, and wife Jane Treglown, aged 50, born in Illogan Cornwall, were living in Pool, Illogan. With them were children (born in Illogan) Alfred (19), assistant, Charles (14), scholar, George (12), scholar, and Edwin (9), scholar.

In 1861 George Treglown, aged 63, born in Illogan, shop keeper, and wife Jane Treglown, aged 60, born in Illogan, were living in Pool, Illogan. With them were daughter Jane Pryce (27) of Illogan, widow, granddaughter Bessie Pryce (9) of Illogan, scholar, son Charles Henry Treglown (25) of Illogan, engineer, and son Edwin Treglown (19) of Illogan. Jane's brother Benjamin Hockin and his family were living nextdoor. Jane's widowed mother was living nextdoor in Pool.

In 1871 George Treglown, aged 73, born in Illogan, grocer and draper, and wife Jane Treglown, aged 70, born in Illogan, were living in Pool, Illogan. With them were daughter Jane Pryce (40) of Illogan, widow, and granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Pryce (19) of Illogan, and granddaughters (born in Redruth) Alice Treglown (10), scholar, Amy Treglown (8), scholar, and Jane Treglown (6), scholar. Living nextdoor was Jane's brother Benjamin Hocking.

The Will with four Codicils of George Treglown late of Pool in the parish of Illogan in the county of Cornwall, merchant, who died 26 November 1879 at Pool, was proved 22 December at Bodmin by Charles Hockin Treglown of 2 St. John's-place Wretham-road Handsworth Birmingham in the county of Stafford, engineer, the son, and Alfred Treglown of Illogan, innkeeper, the brother, the executors. Personal estate under £6,000. 3

George married Jane Hockin, daughter of Richard Hockin of Tregajorran and Mary Prust, on 1 Jan 1826 in Illogan, Cornwall. (Jane Hockin was born in 1801 in Illogan, Cornwall and died on 3 Jan 1884 in Pool, Illogan, Cornwall, aged 83 years.)
