CAMBORNE URBAN COUNCILLOR AND PROMINENT LIBERAL.
The death took place at the Nursing Home, Camborne, on Sunday, of Mr. John Berryman, builder, Homefield, Camborne. Mr. Berryman was taken to the Home two weeks ago to undergo an operation, but complications ensued, and his condition had been critical for a few days previous to his death.
The deceased took a keen interest in parochial affairs. For many years he was a member of the Local Board, and at the time of his death he was a member of the Urban District Council. He was an ardent Liberal in politics, and the last two elections he figured on the platforms of Mr. Acland, M.P., and Mr. A. Edward Dunn, the late member. By his death the Wesleyan Society loses a prominent member, and active worker. He was a class leader at Wesley, a superintendent of the Band of Hope, and a local preacher for more than a quarter of a century. He leaves a widow and nine children, and an aged mother, who resides at Troon.
Reference to his death was made at Wesley Church on Sunday by the Rev. W. Kargreaves Cooper.
