In 1841, Mathew Bennetts (45), copper miner, and wife Ann (45), were living in Treslothan Camborne. With them were children: Thomas (20), copper miner, Joseph (20), copper miner, James (15), copper miner, Mathew (15), copper miner, Martin (10), ag lab., Gilbert (8), Jane (6), Ann (4)
A Matthew Bennetts died in Camborne during the 2nd Quarter 1844 as well as during the 1st Quarter 1847. At the time of the marriage of his son Joseph, one of the witnesses was Matthew Bennetts who was probably Joseph's father, noting that, of Matthew's children, Joseph is the only one indicating his father was not then deceased.
