In 1851, Hugh Ingram (20) of Craigie, farm servant, unmarried, was working for John Paton (41), farmer, in Stonecausway, Symington.
In 1881, Hugh Ingram (49) of Ayr, ag labr, and wife Maggie (42) of Kilmarnock, were living in Shore Rd., Gallahill Cottage, Maybole. Present were children (born in Symington): Maggie (11), scholar, Jane (9), scholar, James (5).
In 1901, Hugh Ingram (70) of Ayr, ordinary ag. lab., and wife Maggie (62) of Riccarton, were living in Kiln House, Kirkoswald. With them were children: Jane (27) of Symington, general farm worker, Mary (18) of Maybole, general farm worker, James (25) of Symington, married, ploughman, daughter-in-law Agnes (24) of Ayr, grandchildren (born in Kirkoswald): Maggie (4 months), Hugh (4)

From Death entry: Hugh Ingram, cattleman, married to Margaret Calderwood, of Morriston Cottages, son of Hugh Ingram (deceased), farm-labourer, and Margaret Ingram M.S. Calderwood (deceased), died aged 68 years [sic] of apoplexy. Informant was James Ingram, son, of Humestone Cottage, Maybole.
