In 1851, Hugh Ingram (46) of Tarbolton, farm labourer, and wife Margaret (38) of Craigie, house keeper, were living in Townhead, Craigie. Present were children (born in Craigie): Jean (10), scholar, Andrew (8), scholar, Janet (7), scholar, Elizabeth (5), George (3), Adam (1)

In 1861, Hugh Ingram (55) of Tarbolton, labourer, and wife Margaret (48) of Craigie, were living in No. 4 Old Toll, Symington. Present were children (born in Craigie): Hugh (30), forester, Elizabeth C. (15), scholar, Martha A. (9), scholar

In 1871, Hugh Ingram (66) of Tarbolton, labourer, and wife Margret (58) of Craigie, were living in No. 4 Old Toll, Symington. With them was daughter Elizabeth (23) of Craigie.

In 1881, Hugh Ingram (75) of Tarbolton, retired labourer, and wife Margaret (67), were living in No. 4 Old Toll, Symington. With them were son Robert (47) of Irvine, widower, quarry labourer, daughter Elizabeth (30) of Craigie, outdoor farm worker, grandsons Hugh (10) and John (8), both of Irvine, granddaughter Janet D.
