In 1871 Eliza Symons, aged 42, born in E Stonehouse Devon, and husband James A Symons, aged 52, born in Devonport Devon, Greenwich pensioner, were living at 14 St. George's Inn, East Stonehouse. With them was son Charles J B (8) of Devonport, scholar. At the same address was Eliza's brother Henry E Banfield, cabinet maker.

In 1881 Eliza Symons, aged 52, born in East Stonehouse Devonshire, and husband James Symons, aged 62, born in Devonport Devonshire, Greenwich pensioner . . . . . . . , were living at 15 St. Mary's St, East Stonehouse. With them was Eliza's brother Henry Bamfield (60) of East Stonehouse, unmarried, cabinet maker.

In 1891 Eliza Symons, aged 63, born in East Stonehouse Devon, and husband James Symons, aged 72, born in Devonport Devon, naval pensioner, were living at 15 St. Mary's St, East Stonehouse. At the same address was Eliza's brother Henry Eli Harris [Banfield], retired journeyman cabinet maker.

In February 1899 Eliza Symons, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's personal effects.
