In 1703 John Williams of Trehane, Esq. was named as one of the overseers of the will of Thomas Pendarves, Rector of St. Columb Major, his wife's uncle.

Abstract of the Will of John Williams of Trehan[e in the Parish of Probus] in the County of Cornwall, Esquire, written 15 Jan 1704/5, proved 15 Jun 1705. 3
Gives his tenements called Trehan and Tregurna in the parish of Probus along with all other lands purchased of Anthony Stowen, Gent. to his eldest daughter Mary and her heirs. For want of such issue, and after her death, he gives the same to his daughter Ann and her heirs. And if Ann has no heir, then after her death, he gives the same to his daughter Katherine and her heirs.
Gives £400 to his cousin and niece Mary Webber.
Gives £20 to his servant Richard Harris.
Gives £10 to his cousin Henry Greby of Tregoney.
Gives to his wife all his duchy lands in the county of Cornwall during her widowhood. Also bequeaths to her the bed and furniture in her chamber and the use of all the silver plate.
Gives £5 to the poor of the parish of Probus.
Gives all the rest of his lands and tenements to his daughters Ann and Katherine and their heirs.
Gives 40 shillings each to his servants John Burroughs, Chessen Davey, Ann Pullen and Honour Bunny.
All the rest of his goods & chattels he gives to his daughters Mary, Ann and Katherine, appointing them co-executrices of his last will and testament.
Appoints John Gregor, Esq., his father-in-law John Courteney, John Gully of Probus, Gent., and his wife Katherine, to be overseers and trustees of his will during the minorities of his daughters. Gives to the said John Gregor his bay gelding; gives to the said John Courteney his bay nagg commonly called Snells Nagg; and gives to the said John Gully five guineas of gold.
