On 12 Feb 1318, in the Inquisition Post Mortem held following the death of Robert de Brus, Thomas Tuchet was holding of him 1 knight's fee in Assewell, Rutland.
In Aug 1322, Thomas Tuchet was listed among the retinue of Oliver de Ingham going to Scotland in the king's service (Calendar of Patent Rolls, 16 Edw. II, m. 24).
1333, Edmund Tuchet granted view of frank pledge at Markeaton to Robert Tuchet; remainder to son Thomas. 1
1335, Robert Touchet settled the manors of Ashwell and Markeaton (co. Derby) upon his son Thomas and Joan his wife in tail. 1
1341, Joan Tuchet, who was the [2nd] wife of Robert, of Markynton, sued for dower against Thomas Tuchet, senior, and Joan his wife. 2

To the sheriff of Derby. Order to cause Thomas Tochet of Marketon to have seisin of a messuage and 2 bovates of land in Macworth, without delay, as the king has learned by inquisition taken by the sheriff that the premises which Henry Fremon held, who was outlawed for felony, have been in the king's hand for a year and a day, and that Henry held them of Thomas, who had the year and a day thereof and ought to answer for them to the king.

Legh Cumbreye. The hamlet (extent given) held of the king in chief by serjeanty, viz. by service of finding a man with the king in Wales in time of war for 40 days at his own charges.
He died on 18 August last. John his son, aged 22 years at the feast of St. James last, is his heir.
