In 1840 Elizabeth Morgan was gifted £5 in the Will of her father Richard Morgan, who names her husband William Hugh father of Elizabeth Hugh to whom Richard made a bequest.
In 1851 Elizabeth Hugh, aged 37, born in St. Georges Glamorgan, and husband William Hugh, aged 39, born in Aberdare Glamorgan, hay dealer, were living in Llanblethian Glamorgan. With them were children Elizabeth (17) of Llanblethian, Gwenllian (14) of Llanblethian, William (11) of Lancarvan, and Richard (8) of Llanblethian.
In 1861 Elizabeth Hugh, aged 47, born in Llanblethian Glamorgan [sic], and husband William Hugh, aged 51, born in Llanblethian [sic], labourer, were living in Aberthin, Llanblethian. With them were sons William (21), labourer, Richard (19), labourer, and Henry (8), labourer.
In 1871 Elizabeth Hughes, aged 57, born in St. Georges Glamorgan, and husband William Hughes, aged 60, born in Aberdare Glamorgan, farmer of 20 acres, were living in Pantyllanfron? Welsh St. Donat, Glamorgan. With them were sons (born in Llanblethian) Henry (17) and William (30).
