In 1881 Edward Evans, aged 23, born in St. Georges Glamorgan, was with his widowed mother in Bovehill, Cardiff St. Andrews Glamorgan.

In 1891 Edward Evans, aged 35, born in St. George Glamorgan, butcher, and wife Rachel, aged 29, born in Merthyr Glamorgan, were living in Riversdale Cottages, Llandaff Glamorgan. With them were daughters Bertha (5) of Carau Glam., and Margaret (2) of Whitchurch Glam.

In 1901 Edward Evans, aged 43, born in St. Nicholas Glamorgan, butcher, and wife Rachel, aged 41, born in Merthyr, were living at 2 Pine Apple Row, Whitchurch Glamorgan. With them were daughters Bertha (15) of Caerau Glamorgan and Maggie (12) of Cardiff Glamorgan.
