In 1881 Richard Evans, aged 24, born in St. George Glamorgan, single, was with his widowed mother in Bovehill, Cardiff St. Andrews Glamorgan.

In 1891 Richard Evans, aged 34, born in St. Georges Glamorgan, single, farmer, was with his brothers David Evans and William Evans, farmers, and sister Elvira John, farmer's wife, and her children, in Bovil, St. Andrews Glamorgan.

In 1901 Richard Evans, aged 44, born in St. Georges Glam., farmer (own account), and wife Margaret, aged 35, born in Eglwysyllyn, were living in Arga Farm, St. Andrews Glamorgan. With them were children (born in St. Andrews) Nellie (6), Nancy (4), Dorothy (3), Katie (2), and William (1).

In February 1910 Richard Evans was present at the marriage of his nephew David Thomas to Clementina Mary Thomas in St. Andrew's Major.

In 1911 Richard Evans, aged 58, born in St. Georges Glam., farmer, and wife of 17 years Margaret Evans, aged 46, born in Groeswen Glam. (mother of 7 children, 1 deceased) were living in Arga Farm, Dinas Powis. With them were children (born in St. Andrews) Eleanor (16), dairy work, Dorothy (14), school, Kate (13), school, William Roe Evans (11), school, and David Richard (7), school. Also with them was Richard's brother William Evans, retired farmer.
