In 1881 Elvira Evans, aged 22, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, was with her widowed mother in Bovehill, Cardiff St. Andrews Glamorgan.
In 1891 Elvera John, aged 31, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, farmer's wife, and daughters Mary E. John (3) and Caroline P. John (1), were with Elvira's brother David Evans, William Evans and Richard Evans, farmers, in Bovill, St. Andrews.
In 1901 Elvira Johns, aged 40, born in Wenvoe Glamorgan, and husband William P. Johns, aged 52, born in Lanmaes Glamorgan, farmer, were living in Rhua Farm, Wenvoe. With them were children (born in Wenvoe) Mary E. (13), scholar, Caroline P. (11), scholar, Richard E. (8), scholar, William T. (7), scholar, and Maude E. (4), as well as William's sisters Caroline Johns (57) and Emily Johns (55), both of Lanmaes and living on their own means.
In 1911 Elvira John, aged 50, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan (mother of 6 children, 1 deceased), and husband of 24 years William P. John, aged 63, born in Lanmaes Glamorgan, farmer, were living in Rhua Farm, Wenvoe. With them were children (a) born in Wenvoe) Mary E. (22), dairy work, Caroline P. (20), dairy work, Richard E. (18), working on farm, William T. (17), working on farm, and Maude E. (14), school, as well as William's sisters Caroline John (67) and Emily John (65), both of Lanmaes and of private means.
In April 1914 Elvira John, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.

ESTATE'S OLDEST TENANT
Mrs. Elvira John, of the Rhua Farm, Wenvoe, widow of Mr. William Price John, oldest tenant of the Wenvoe Castle estate, died on Friday.
She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. David Evans, Bovill Farm, in the parish of St. Andrew's, and was closely connected with the farming community in the Vale of Glamorgan.
She is survived by five children.
