In 1861 John A. Thomas, aged 16, born in St. Lythans Glamorgan, shoemaker, was with his parents Morgan and Margaret Thomas in St. Lythans.

In 1881 John A. Thomas, aged 35, born in St. Lythans Glamorgan, inn keeper, farmer of 10 acres, shoemaker, and wife Annie Thomas, aged 31, born in St. Georges Glamorgan, were at Treherne Arms, Cardiff St. George Glamorgan. Present were children (born in St. Georges) David (5), scholar, Maggie (3), scholar, and Thomas (1).

In 1891 John Alfred Thomas, aged 45, born St. Lythans Glamorganshire, licensed victualler & farmer, and wife Annie Thomas, aged 41, born in St. Georges Glamorganshire, were at Treharne Arms St. Georges-super-Ely. With them were children (born in St. Georges) William (17), Margaret (13), scholar, Thomas (11), scholar, Elizabeth (9), scholar, and Mary (3).

In 1901 John A. Thomas, aged 55, born in St. Lythans Glam., farmer, and wife Annie Thomas, aged 51, born in St. Georges Glam., were living in St. Georges. With them were children William (27) of Ely, Thomas (21) of St. Georges, and Elizabeth (19) of St. Georges.

In February 1910 John A Thomas was present at the marriage of his son David Thomas to Clementina Mary Thomas in St. Andrew's Major.

In 1911 John Alfred Thomas, aged 65, born in St. Lythans Glam, farmer, and wife of 39 years Anne Thomas, aged 61, born in St. Georges Glam. (mother of 6 children), of 39 years were in Drope Farm, St. Georges. With them were children (born in St. Georges, single) Thomas (31), partner on farm, and Mary (23), engaged in farm work.

OBITUARY.

MR. JOHN A. THOMAS, ST. GEORGE'S.

A large gathering of Glamorgan agriculturalists attended the funeral of Mr. John Alfred Thomas, of The Drope, St. George's-super-Ely, at the parish churchyard on Thursday. Mr. Thomas was one of the oldest and most prominent farmers in the county, and was 80 years of age.

The chief mourners were Mr. and Mrs. W. Thomas (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. D. Thomas (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. T. Thomas (son), Mr. and Mrs. I. Griffiths (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. E. Howell (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. R. Morgan (son-in-law and daughter), Master John Griffiths, Hubert Griffiths, J. Thomas, and B. Thomas, and the Misses E. Nancy Morgan and M. Thomas (grandchildren); Messrs. R. Thomas, Homri, and D. Thomas, Marshfield; Mrs. W. Osmond, Mr. Osmond, Messrs. E. Harbottle, Douglas Harbottle, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hopkins, Messrs. J. R. Thomas, J.P., D. Jenkins, Flemingstone; G. Spencer, Flemingstone....

The officiating clergyman was the Rev. R. E. Rowlands, rector of St. George's-super-Ely, and the Rev. D. Jenkins, vicar of St. Bride's, and the Rev. —. Thomas, vicar of Wenvoe, were also present....
