In 1841 Esther Norman, aged about 55, born in Glamorgan, widow ind[ependent], was living in Broadway, St. Athan, Glamorgan. With her were children: John (18), carpenter, Esther (15) and [possibly granddaughter] Emma Norman (7).

In 1851 Esther Norman, aged 67, born in Gilestone Glamorgan, master carpenter's wife, was living in St. Athan, Glamorgan. With her was daughter Esther (30) of St. Athan.

In 1861 Esther Norman, aged 78, born in Llanwit Major, Glamorgan, wheelwright's wife, was living at 68 Beggars Pond, St. Athan, Glamorgan. Present was daughter Esther (39) of Saint Athan.

The Will of Esther Norman late of Broadway in the parish of St. Athan in the county of Glamorgan, widow, deceased, who died 10 January 1870 at Broadway aforesaid, was proved 22 January at Llandaff by the oath of John Norman of Severn-road Canton near Cardiff in the county aforesaid, wheelwright, the son, the sole executor. Effects under £200. 2
