In 1841 Arthur Trewartha, aged about 45, farmer, and wife Ann, aged about 40, were living in Great Nancekuke, Illogan. With them were children: John (20), Harriet (18), Prudence (15), Joseph (14), Mary (13), Jane (12), Arthur (10), Julia (8), Elizabeth (6).

Abstract of the Will of Arthur Trewartha of the Parish of Illogan in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 4 May 1842, proved 14 Nov 1842. 4
Gives, devises and bequeaths to his friends John Fox of Illogan parish and Jacob Trewartha of Kenwyn parish, yeomen, all his copyhold and leasehold lands, tenements and hereditaments, as well all other property, goods, chattels, effects, monies and securities for monies, to hold in Trust, for the support of his wife Ann Trewartha and his children until the youngest of them reaches the age of twenty one years.
If any of his children should marry before the youngest thereof reaches the age of twenty one years, then he directs his executors to pay £50 to the ones marrying, with said sum being deducted from their share of what is held in Trust.
Appoints the said John Fox and Jacob Trewartha executors in Trust of his last will and testament.
