Will of Thomas Sawer (paragraphed for ease of reading)

In the name of God Amen the xxith of December in the Yeare of our Lord God 1588 I Thomas Sawer of Hareby in the countie of Lincoln sicke in bodie but whole of mynd and of perfect remembrance makes this my last will and testament in manner & forme followinge

First I bequeath my soule to almightie God and to Jesus Christ my saviour by the merites of whose death and passion I hope to be saved and my bodie to be buried in the churche yeard of Hareby aforesaid

Item: I give to my Wife my best oxen foure kyne one brandled another d---- white backt another called mother? like and an old blacke . . . . . . . cowe

The residue of my goods not geven and bequeathed I give them to Thomas my sonne whome I make my full executor to paye my debtes to fulfill this my last Will and testament and to bringe my bodie honestlie to the ground.
