Will of Thomas Sawer (paragraphed for ease of reading)
In the name of God Amen the xxith of December in the Yeare of our Lord God 1588 I Thomas Sawer of Hareby in the countie of Lincoln sicke in bodie but whole of mynd and of perfect remembrance makes this my last will and testament in manner & forme followinge
First I bequeath my soule to almightie God and to Jesus Christ my saviour by the merites of whose death and passion I hope to be saved and my bodie to be buried in the churche yeard of Hareby aforesaid
Item: I give to my Wife my best oxen foure kyne one brandled another d---- white backt another called mother? like and an old blacke . . . . . . . cowe
Item: I give to my Wife two qines a blacke flecked one & a red . . . . . . .
Item: I give to Jenny my Daughter a blacke white backed cowe an other thei call conlie? one called lyli-- ii qines an other called newe year

Item: I give to my Wife and Jenny my Daughter a chalder of barly betwixt them two seame to be delivered at May Daie next and two seame at Michaelmas next cominge
Item: I give to Richard Sawer my sonne thre calves and one bald maire two calves to his children and one to him self
Item: I give to my Wife and Jenny my Daughter either of them foure --?-- and my Darie House in the fenn to be devided betwixt them

Item: I will that my Wife & Jenny and all there cattle shalbe kepte to gether while May Daie next. The residue of my goods not geven and bequeathed I give them to Thomas my sonne whome I make my full executor to paye my debtes to fulfill this my last Will and testament and to bringe my bodie honestlie to the ground.
