In the name of God Amen the xixth day of January in the year of our Lord God 1572 I Elizabeth Waite Widowe late wif of Mathewe Waite late of Tetforth in the countie of Lincoln beinge sicke in Bodie But of good and perfecte remembrance praysed be God do make this my last Will & Testament in manner and forme as hereafter followeth

First I geve and bequeathe my soule to the Blessed Trinitie the father the sonne and the hollie ghost, by whom I was created redeemed and made the child of God & throughe whom I could truste to receave the eternall lif both of bodie and soule, & my bodie to be buried in the churche yard of Tetforth aforesaid.

Item: I geve unto the poore people of the same parishe xs.

Item: I geve to mendinge of the hie waies Belonginge to the same towne xijd.

Item: I give to the churche of the same towne xijd.

Item: I geve and bequeathe unto Lucie my welbeloved daughter God blessinge & myne & one cowe called Starme & one quill? that was geven unto her by the last Will and Testament of my late husband Mathewe Waite & one shepe.

Item: I geve to Jenet my welbeloved daughter God his blessinge & myne & two kyne called Lyllie & Bandimerke, whereof the one was geven unto her by the last Will and Testament of the foresaid Mathewe my late husband & one shepe.

Item: I give to Margaret my welbeloved daughter God his blessinge & myne & two kine called Flowerie & Jucket? & one shepe.

Item: I give & bequeath to my foresaid three daughters Lucie Jenet and Margaret all my apparrell with all my houshold stuffe whatsoever it be within the howse equallie to be decided distributed & devided amongest them.

Item: I give to Margaret my daughter my least yearninge? qine? for & in consideracion of certaine things which I ought her.

Item: I give to my nice Agnes the daughter of Robt Waite my sonne the youngest qine calf

Item: I geve & bequeath unto John Wayte my welbeloved sonne God his blessinge and myne and the half a quarter of Barlie and my parte of the wheat and Rie? that is s-----n in the cornefeld.

Item: I geve unto Elizabeth Jenkinson my welbeloved daughter God his blessinge and myne and the older qine calf & the russet gowne before excepted.

Item: I geve unto my nephewes Richard and Thomas the sonnes of Thomas Wayte my sonne one oxe calf between them.

Item: I give unto my nephewe Robt and to my neece Agnes the sonne and daughter of John Waite my sonne an ewe shepe between them.

All the rest of my goods unbequeathed my Debts and legacies paid & my Bodie brought honestlie to the ground & my funerall Being discharged I geve & bequeath unto my welbeloved sonnes Thomas and Robt whom I do make my full and sole executors of this my last will & testament. Also I make George Flower the parson of the parish church of Tetforth aforesaid the supervisor of this my last will & testament. And I geve unto him for his paines ijs. xjd. These Being witnesses Mr George Flower minister Roger Sandes Richard Thomson & Charles Woode with others. Elizabeth Wayte widdowe.
