In 1901 Thomas E. Motley (30) of Sheffield, carter's housekeeper, and wife Annie (29) of Sheffield, were living at 7 Henry Street, Sheffield. Present were children (born in Sheffield): Doris E. (7), Ernest E. (2), Roland H. (1), mother-in-law Elizabeth Hallam (59), widow, and three lodgers.

In 1911 Thomas Everitt Motley (41) of Sheffield, housekeeper, and wife of 19 years Ann Mary (40) of Southwell Notts., were living at 7 Henry Road Sheffield. Present were children (born in Sheffield): Doris Elizabeth (17), shop assistant, Ernest Everitt (12), school, Roland Hallam (11), school, mother[-in-law] Elizabeth Hallam (69) of Bathley Notts., widow, and four lodgers.
