In 1871 Edward Miles, aged 41, born in St. Andrews*, scrap bundler, tin works, and wife Ann of St. Andrews*, were living at 10 Bontiwaed? Upper Llanfrechva, Monmouth. Present were children (born in St. Andrews*): Lydia (16), scholar, Edward (13), cold roller tin works, Ebenezer (11), opener of tin plates, Annie (9), Thomas (5).

In 1891 Edward Miles, aged 58, born in Dynas Powys Glamorgan, stack/stock taker, and wife Ann, aged 60, were living in Pontrhydyrun, Upper Llanfrechva Monmouth. With them were children Ebenezer (28), tin worker, and Sarah (18) of Upper Llanvrechra.
